| Meet The Sexton Companies: John Sexton Sand and Gravel Founded by the late John Sexton in 1932, the company started in comprehensive waste, environmental, grading, and land reclamation construction services. Headquartered Hillside, Illinois, just west of Chicago, the company has developed, operated and managed almost every facet of the waste industry from designing, permitting, and construction of landfills, to daily operations of transfer stations, material recovery facilities and landfill gas to energy plants, located throughout the United States over the last 75 years. Sexton Energy Sexton Energy L.L.C., established in 2003, currently operates projects in 3 cities located in the Chicago land region: Des Plaines, Beecher, and Westchester. Each of the 3 locations is approximately a 3 Megawatt facility utilizing 2 or 3 JenBacher reciprocating engines, produced by GE Energy. The company has also partnered with the City of Columbia, Missouri on the designing and construction of a similar project. Sexton Development Sexton Development specializes in upscale, luxury communities in the Chicagoland area. In paying attention to details and adding the features that today’s home buyers are expecting, Sexton Development has the new home you are looking for, located in a community you want to call home. Sexton Tree Nurseries Sexton Nurseries is a family owned and operated nursery located just south of Chicago off of I-57 in Richton Park Illinois. Sexton Nurseries is working to provide large growth trees on a wholesale basis, in both the local, regional and national markets. The nursery itself also is part of the Sexton's Green Initiative Operations and is just one of many ways Sexton is looking to be more environmentally responsible and take positive steps to help combat green house gas emissions in the region. Sexton Wind Power Sexton’s most recent addition is Sexton Wind Power L.L.C. which was established in 2008 and is currently working on their first wind project. All projects that Sexton engages in are not only economical, but also help offset green house gas emissions and aid in reducing our environmental footprints, following suit in Sexton’s Green Initiative Operations. These types of green projects make the Sexton Companies a qualified leader in the alternative energy market. Sexton over the years has been among the leaders in understanding the environmental needs of projects themselves, the environmental needs of communities, and working to create synergies to benefit all parties involved. Since most wind projects have a lot of public exposure, we strive on keeping everyone informed and while listening to our neighbors and understanding their needs to create successful projects with integrity. |
